·      The use of smaller articles on the front page that relate to the splash story can reinforce the ideas being explored
·      All the topics on the cover offer the same ideologies; this allows fewer distractions off the topic for the reader.

Media Industries:

Audience share similar socialist viewpoints, which are critical of capitalisms unfair rules for global elite

The Daily Mail

The daily mails coverage of this story offers different ideologies to the guardian’s coverage because of their agenda. The daily mail is a right wing newspaper and is therefore in favour of the monarch. This is shown in the main headline of the issue, in which they describe the queen to be “dragged” into the tax row, suggesting that it was forced upon her and she is a victim; Unlike The Guardian who describe her to exploit the poor.

Media language:

·      The use of a large headline for the splash story is an easy way of gaining an audiences attention.
